Make, Do, Mend: Chalkboard paint

It is no secret that I’m a little bit obsessed with the old chalkboard spray… If we weren’t renting I’m sure half of our house would be covered with the stuff.  You can get it in most home depots for about £ 6. Many old pieces have got a new lease of life with this black magic! 🙂

Here’s a few suggestions:

Spray paint a mixed collection of old frames with it and get a more uniform look on your walls or shelves. Many charity shops have an endless collection of frames for next to nothing.

Spray it on clay pots or planters, stick some compost and seeds in and write what it is on the side. Simple, practical and looks great too!

Top tip: Do your spraying outside or open windows wide open – otherwise it might make you feel a bit funny in the head!
